Our firm believes that there are those who are not as blessed as we
are, and we believe that we and our clients can do a lot to help alleviate
some of the need and hunger that our area faces. For those reasons,
we uniquely require a donation of at least six non-perishable food
items, which we collect from our clients when you come in for an initial
consultation. Those can goods are donated to a local food bank for
distribution to those less fortunate. Currently, we donate to the Bowie
Mission. We would like to say thank you in advance for your support
in helping alleviate hunger. In a country as rich as ours, nobody deserves
to be without something to eat.
In addition to the canned goods we ask each client to bring to their initial consultation, we may also require payment for the time spent with you in any initial consultation. We often dispense valuable legal advise in initial consultations which has taken many years and great hardship to learn. That advice and the time spent dispensing it is, as Abraham Lincoln put it, "a lawyer's stock in trade". At the discretion of the attorney, a fee may be requested for the time spent with you. That fee will be based on the amount of time spent getting to know you and your legal matter and providing the no-nonsense advice that our firm prides itself on.
If at all possible we require all initial consultations to be in person. If such is not possible for you because of distance from our office, please feel free to contact us and let us know and we would be happy to discuss your matter by other means.
